Uranium One Group and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of Argentina held a working meeting on cooperation in the uranium sector

Uranium One, a ROSATOM international mining company, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of Argentina and UrAmerica Argentina S.A. held a tripartite working meeting in Moscow to discuss potential areas of cooperation in the field of technology for intelligent, environmentally responsible uranium industry. The discussion included establishment of a Technology Centre for capacity building and further development of the most efficient technology for the sector - in situ recovery (ISR) - in Argentina.

Minister of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of Argentina Dr. Lino Barañao, PhD in Chemistry, the President of Uranium One Group Vasily Konstantinov, the President of UrAmerica Argentina S.A. Omar Adra and representatives of the working group attended the meeting.

"Uranium One's international experience and competence in the field of ISR technology together with the strategy of the Ministry for the promotion of industrial innovations represent an effective base for the establishment of a Technology Centre in Argentina," said the Minister of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of Argentina, Dr. Lino Barañao.

Dr. Lino Barañao visited the Karatau LLP, a joint Russian-Kazakhstan venture located in Kazakhstan in 2017. During his visit, Dr. Barañao examined the best practices of Uranium One in the extraction of natural uranium by the effective ISR technology.
