Guerman V. Kornilov appointed Vice President, Managing Director of Uranium One Holding
Uranium One Holding announces the appointment of Guerman V. Kornilov as Vice President, Managing Director. His work will center around optimization of the asset management system and development of the Company's commercial operations.
“Guerman Kornilov started his career at the Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant of the Ministry of Medium Machine-Building Industry of the USSR, and then worked with the world's major nuclear companies. It is my firm belief that his professional competencies and expertise will ensure successful accomplishment of the strategic objectives set by ROSATOM,” said Vasily Konstantinov, President of Uranium One Holding.
Bio
Guerman V. Kornilov was born on 11 August 1961 in Novouralsk (Sverdlovsk Region). In 1984, he graduated from the Ural Polytechnic Institute majoring in Physical Engineering. In 1995, he earned an MBA from the American University (Washington, D.C.), with MA and PhD in Economics received from the same university in 1998 and 2003, respectively.
He started his career at the Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant, working as chief operator in 1984 to 1991. In 2004–2007, he served as adjunct professor of Economics and Business at the University of Maryland University College, University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and University of Phoenix. In 2007–2010, he held a position of marketing administration director and, later, trading director at Cameco Inc. In 2010–2014, he moved to the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, first serving as nuclear fuel procurement manager and then becoming nuclear fuel procurement director.
